NAVFAC Southwest awarded two contracts as part of the first F-35 joint strike fighter hangars on the West Coast at Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz. Dck/TtEC LLC of Honolulu won a $137.5-million contract to build two aircraft maintenance hangars and upgrade the communications and utilities infrastructure. Sundt Construction Inc. of Tempe, Ariz., was awarded $18.4 million to construct a simulator facility. Both projects are scheduled for completion by fall 2012. DR#11-00403199. .

U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is accepting proposals from general contractors until July 20 for the Administrative Visitor Center at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge, Corn Creek Field Station, located 30 miles north of Las Vegas. The estimated $5-million to $10-million project will include a new 12,000-sq-ft concrete structure with metal joists and a standing seam metal roof, with an expectation of LEED-Platinum certification. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is nearing completion of construction documents for the Middle Rio Grande Bosque Restoration Project near Albuquerque, N.M., and could solicit bids in the next 30 to 60 days. Estimated at between $10 million and $25 million, the project would restore 916 acres of bosque by improving hydrologic function through the construction of high-flow channels and wetlands and by restoring native vegetation. The project will also include adding features like trails and pedestrian bridges. Firms must pre-register to bid at www.ccr.gov. DR#11-00534327.
