Welcome to Southwest Contractor's ranking of the 2005 top
design firms. This information was gathered through surveys
sent to hundreds of architects and engineers throughout Arizona,
New Mexico and Nevada. We thank all of the firms who provided
us with their information, allowing us to produce the most

SW Contractor's 2006 Design Firm of the Year

Southwest Contractor has selected Stantec Consulting as the
2006 Design Firm of the Year, based upon the company's 2005
revenue in the Southwest region as well as the company's impressive
body of work. The firm has thrived in the region with a simple
vision as stated in its slogan: One Team. Infinite Solutions.

Ship Shape

Suncor Development continues a nautical theme with its newest
phase at Hayden Ferry Lakeside. A new 12-story office tower
joins the existing structures, along with the addition of
an eight-level parking structure, retail space and outdoor
areas.

Safety First

Bradbury Stamm and Dekker/Perich/Sabatini are rapidly completing
the new four-story office building for Blue Cross and Blue
Shield of New Mexico. The building will provide light and
airy office and storage space within the unique, ship-shaped
building.

Green Thumb

Molasky Corporate Center, a $96-million, 284,000-sq.-ft. office
tower in downtown Las Vegas, aims to be the area's first LEED-certified
commercial office building. The Southern Nevada Water Authority
will be a major tenant in the 17-story building.

River's Edge

The Apollo Riverpoint Center, currently under construction
in Phoenix, will provide University of Phoenix Online with
a 630,000-sq.-ft. campus including one ten-story and two six-story
office buildings. The site also includes two large parking
garages and landscaping that echoes the nearby riverbed of
the Salt River.
