Top Specialty Contractors of the Southwest

2007 is Another Stellar Year for Subcontractors

Our annual survey of the Southwest’s top subcontractors has expanded to 194 this year. Subs reported a total of $6.16 billion in revenue from work in 2007.

Southwest Contractor’s annual survey of subcontractors in the Southwest yielded another year of record results. Our 194 ranked companies add up to $6.16 billion in revenue for 2007, up from $5.5 billion the year before.

The top 10 firms rose 13% over last year’s top 10 to $2.02 billion.

All three states saw increases over 2006 numbers. Arizona subcontractors gained 4.1% numbers to hit $3.32 billion. New Mexico’s subs reported a 29% increase as a whole in 2007.

Nevada saw a sizable jump to $2.22 billion. Compared to five years ago, Nevada’s subs are reporting nearly 200% more revenue.

Most categories saw increases, including concrete (+34%), electrical (+25%) and mechanical (+4%). You can find more statistics scattered throughout the rankings in Fast Facts.

The following rankings are based upon surveys sent to specialty contractors throughout the region. Only those firms who responded with their 2007 revenue were included. Every effort was made to contact each company at least once.
