Bradbury Stamm Construction received
an award from the United States Army Corps Of Engineers
Albuquerque District for outstanding performance and sustained
excellence in safety for the Baca Dlo' Ay Azhi Consolidated
Replacement School construction site near Prewitt, N.M.
The award was presented by Major David E. Bailey to project
manager Dan Lyons, superintendent David Burks and safety director
John Brown.
The project recorded 200,000 plus man hours with no injuries
and went through 11 Corps of Engineers inspections with no
deficiencies.
The school was designed under a design/build construction
approach with Dyron Murphy Architects and NCA Architects.
Santa Fe Firm WIns Projects
Cameron Construction recently contracted with a private firm
in Taos, N.M. to build a 144,000-sq.-ft., multi-use retail
and restaurant complex. Construction is scheduled to begin
in early 2004. The project, a traditional contemporary Southwest
style design, will be built on 9.5 acres along the Angel Fire
highway.
The firm also recently began construction on the Taytsugeh
Oweengeh Intergenerational Center for the Pueblo of Tesuque
located north of Santa Fe. The 21,833-sq.-ft., one-story Community
Center includes a multi-use gymnasium, weight room, fitness
exam room, cardio room, cafeteria and office spaces. Bridging
the generations, the center also includes a senior common
activity center.
