Work Begins on New Opus West Building

Developer Opus West Corp. recently broke ground on its second project within Journal Center II, a business park located off of I-25 and Paseo del Norte in Albuquerque, N.M., and the firm's debut location in the New Mexico market.

The new Opus West building at Journal Center II totals 64,000 sq. ft. in two stories and will be anchored by Thomson Elite, a division of Thomson West and parent company The Thomson Corp. (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), an information solutions provider.

Thomson West will lease more than 40,000 sq. ft. of the building to expand Thomson Elite.

Opus West Construction Corp. and Opus Architects & Engineers will serve as general contractor and architect for the new Journal Center building.

Project completion is expected by mid-2005. The remaining 22,000 sq. ft. of space within the building is available for lease
