Hooters on the Way to Las Vegas

The PENTA Building Group recently began construction on the new Hooters Casino Hotel at the former San Remo Hotel.

The renovation of the actual casino will integrate all elements of a standard Hooters restaurant. The project also includes modernization of 711 rooms, done one floor at a time for minimal disruption, and the creation of a tropical pool area that includes Porch Dogs patio eatery and the Nipples Pool Bar.

PENTA will also be responsible for the construction of eight new restaurants and bars, including Dan Marino's Fine Food and Spirits that boasts a 13-ft. martini bar, the Bait Shoppe sushi bar, Pete and Shorty's Tavern and sports book, and a Hooters restaurant.

Plans call for the $130 million project to be completed in February.

Carter Burgess and Maverick Architectural Design crafted the hotel design.


Office and Retail Project Planned

Burke & Associates recently announced they have been awarded the contract to build the Centennial Gateway retail/office center in Las Vegas. This $8 million, 122,580-sq.-ft. project is expected to break ground this month and be completed within nine months.

Located in the northwest on Ann Road/ I-95, this 33-acre, project will house the main offices of owner, Territory Incorporated, as well as, a significant retail shopping experience. The architect will be Perkowitz & Ruth.
