JMA Architecture Studios recently
hired Carl von Hake as chief
financial officer. Von Hake, a 27-year resident of Las Vegas
and UNLV graduate, brings more than 18 years of financial
management experience to the oldest and largest architecture
firms in Nevada.
Daniel J. Osterman has been promoted to pre-construction project
manager for Sundt Construction, Inc. In his new position he
is responsible for pre-construction services on Arizona projects,
starting with conceptual estimating and extending through
the design phase to the beginning of construction. Osterman
is a graduate of the University of Arizona, and in his thirty-five-year
career in the construction industry has worked on projects
ranging in value from $50,000 to over $200 million.
Stantec announced that Scott
Ward has been named managing principal of urban land
engineering in Las Vegas. Mr. Ward brings over 10 years of
practical experience in civil engineering, specializing in
residential and commercial land development.
Ward is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, Orlando,
where he received a Bachelors degree in civil site design
and construction. In 2001, he received his M.B.A. in financial
analysis from the University of Phoenix, Denver.
Stantec also recently announced the appointment of Tim
Terrill, PE, as Regional Practice Area Leader in Stantec's
Urban Land Engineering Division. Mr. Terrill managed the Las
Vegas office of Stantec for the past two years and will remain
in Las Vegas continuing to handle his client base.

firms is pleased to announce the hire of A.
Bradley Woodman, AIA, as principal and research studio
lead.
Mr. Woodman holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech
University, is NCARB accredited and has been a Registered
Architect in Arizona since 1992.
R&O Construction's Executive Vice-President, Dale Campbell
has announced that Chet Opheikens has been named the new general
manager of R&O's Las Vegas office. He will oversee the
employees and daily operations of the regional office. The
appointment begins immediately.

has announced Michael Kolejka
and Russ Sanders have passed
the architectural registration examination, becoming registered
architects in the state of Arizona.
Kolejka is only 24 years old, yet has more than eight years
of experience with a focus on sustainable design. In 2003
Kolejka received his master's degree in architecture from
the University of Arizona.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Sanders is a talented
architect with a special sensitivity to environmental concerns.
Sanders has more than 10 years of architectural experience
with The Orcutt/Winslow Partnership.

Companies, Inc. received the 2003 Marketer of the Year
Award from the Society of Marketing Professional Services.
She co-authored, a chapter in the Handbook for Marketing Professional
Services on Strategic Marketing and Planning published by
SMPS in 2000. She has been a member of SMPS since 1982, Chicago
Chapter founding member, National Education Chair and Arizona
Chapter Secretary 88-90.
