Colours, Inc. recently announced the interior design firm promoted Lisa Surber to the position of director of finance. She previously served as purchasing specialist for the locally-owned company.

In her new position, Surber is responsible for the overall management of the finance department including accounts payables and receivables, cash management, payroll, quarterly reports and financial statements.

Surber attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs.


William C. "Chuck" Schuiteman has joined CLC Associates, an engineering, architecture, and planning firm, with offices located in Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Spokane. Schuiteman, a registered architect, will serve in the role of project manager for the firm as he assists clients in retail and commercial development.

Julie Elliott has also joined CLC Associates. Elliott will serve in the role of senior project manager for the firm as she assists clients with project planning and entitlement issues.


Souder, Miller & Associates recently announced the promotion of Karl Tonander to vice president of operational support systems.

Tonander holds a master's degree in mineral engineering and a bachelor's degree in geological engineering. He is the president of the New Mexico section of AIPG and a member of the state's institute of mining and technology's industrial advisory board.


Martin-Harris Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Shelton as general superintendent.

The company also to announced the appointment of three project managers, Ron Rose and Jeff Forsythe and an estimator, Wes Woodhall. Martin-Harris currently has 30 projects in progress.


Stanley Consultants is pleased to announce that Jay A. Horak has joined the company as manager of the infrastructure department in the construction services group. Horak is responsible for overseeing the growth of construction administration, inspection and resident engineering services for water and wastewater projects throughout Arizona. In addition to managing the infrastructure department, he will also serve as safety committee chairman for Stanley Consultants' 14 offices.


T-P Acoustics, Inc. has named Brian Greco as project manager for its Phoenix, Ariz., office. Prior to joining T-P Acoustics, Greco served as estimator/project manager for Performance Contracting, Inc. in San Francisco, Calif.


RNL Design announced the promotion of Larry Allen, AIA to associate principal. The promotion was made in recognition of his outstanding client service, project management, contribution to the RNL organization and community participation.


Kevin Kammerzell, P.E., has been promoted to director of water resources by CMX, a Phoenix-based full-service civil engineering firm specializing in master-planned communities, sports facilities, and infrastructure.

Kammerzell, who received a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University in 1992, is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Arizona Floodplain Managers Association, and American Council of Engineering Companies.


HDR has hired Russell Neff as a vice president and water section manager for the Phoenix office. His responsibilities include oversight of water and wastewater projects throughout the state.

Prior to joining HDR, Neff was a vice president and principal officer with Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.
