Soil-Tech recently announced the Las Vegas-based dust and
erosion control contractor has appointed Pablo Morales to
the position of field supervisor for the firm's Northern Nevada
operations.
In his new position, Morales is responsible for managing field
operations for all projects and supervising crewmembers. He
previously served as assistant supervisor at Weitz Golf in
Temecula, Calif.

Ken Manssouri, a retail facilities expert, has joined Carter
& Burgess, Inc., as retail group leader in the firm's
Phoenix office. With 19 years of experience, Manssouri has
done architectural design work and urban planning for regional
malls, strip centers, community centers, power centers, lifestyle
centers, entertainment and restaurant facilities, and mixed-use
projects. In addition to his retail background, he also has
contributed his expertise to a number of institutional and
residential projects.
CFA Inc., a Northern Nevada planning and engineering firm,
has recently hired Josh A. Trygstad as a civil designer and
Ryan W. Cash as a landscape designer.
Valley Metro Rail has hired Reginald Mason as its new Safety
and Security Officer. In his new position, Mason will be responsible
for all aspects related to safety during construction and
operation of the Valley's METRO system.
T-P Acoustics, Inc. has named Brian Greco as project manager
for its Phoenix, Ariz., office. Prior to joining T-P Acoustics,
Greco served as estimator/project manager for Performance
Contracting, Inc. in San Francisco, Calif.
Howard Schapira, President of Phoenix-based Action Equipment
and Scaffold Company, was recently sworn in as the President
of the Scaffold Industry Association (SIA), the international
building trades organization that represents the interests
of the scaffold and access industry. The ceremony took place
this week in Salt Lake City at the SIA's international convention.
JMA Architecture Studios recently hired four members for
their Interiors Studio in Las Vegas. They include Dawn Guy,
Resource Coordinator; Paulette Hallis, Interior Designer VI;
Xerxes Coyco, Job Captain; and Kevin Welch, Senior Drafter.
RNL Design welcomes Tara Lingle to the firm's Phoenix office.
A graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Environmental Design, Lingle joins the firm
as an interior designer, having studied design both domestically
and abroad in London.
Lingle is also a strong proponent of environmentally sustainable,
energy- efficient design and remains active in the design
community as a board member of the Southwest Chapter of the
IIDA since 2002.
Linthicum Custom Builders has promoted Ralph Kelsey to director
of field operations, according to Eric Linthicum, president
of the custom building company.
A 36-year veteran of the construction industry, Kelsey will
oversee the field operations for all projects at Linthicum,
providing the necessary support and leadership to the field.
Kelsey's eight-year career with Linthicum Custom Builders
began as a framing foreman in 1996 to most recently, project
superintendent.
PSI is pleased to announce that Ed Malmanis, PE, has joined
the
Tempe office as a district manager overseeing PSI's Arizona
operations. Mr.
Malmanis earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
from
Syracuse University, a Master of Business Administration from
Louisiana State University, and is a registered Professional
Engineer in the state of Arizona.
