United Construction Begins Work on WMS Gaming Offices

United Construction Co. has begun work on an office building for WMS Gaming. Located at 887 Trademark Drive in Reno, the design-build project is expected to be completed in December. The two-story building includes 50,000 sq ft of office space and 3,000 sq ft of warehouse.

The project will pursue LEED gold, incorporating a 36KW photovoltaic solar panel system that is anticipated to provide over 6% of the annual electrical load of the building; daylighting and occupant lighting controls to minimize artificial light; high-performance coated glass to minimize solar heat gain; high efficiency mechanical equipment to reduce the amount of required energy; low-flow plumbing fixtures to reduce water consumption; low-VOC materials; high recycled content building materials; and diversion of 75% of construction waste away from landfills.
